FutureVitals is a student-led international nonprofit advancing health equity through education, opportunity, and access to essential resources.

We believe advocating for your health starts with understanding it, and having the knowledge, confidence, and resources to act on it.

The gap we're trying to close.

Health shouldn't depend on what you were lucky enough to learn or have access to.

Every young person deserves the knowledge and resources to care for their physical, mental, and emotional health, and the confidence to speak up when something isn't right.

For families facing financial barriers, refugee and immigrant communities navigating unfamiliar healthcare systems, and communities where health education and essential resources are difficult to access, supporting your health can itself become a privilege.

No one's race, ethnicity, income, geography, or zip code should decide whether they get that opportunity. Access isn't equal yet, and that is the gap we are here to close.

That last number is our home. It's why we started here.

From Richmond to 18 chapters

We started locally. The problem wasn't local.

FutureVitals began in Richmond after seeing how often young people encountered health and science without being given the tools or opportunities to truly understand either.

So we started building.

Today, students across 18 FutureVitals chapters are carrying that work into their own communities. We run free health and science workshops, research experiences, competitions, resource drives, and outreach spanning topics from neurobiology and cancer biology to public health and bioinformatics.

Our work looks different in every community because the needs are different. Sometimes it's introducing a child to biology. Sometimes it's giving an aspiring researcher their first real opportunity. Sometimes it's getting books, clothing, period products, or other essentials to families and communities where access itself is the barrier.

The mission stays the same. Give people the knowledge, opportunities, and resources to better understand, advocate for, and support their health.

FutureVitals gives youth around the world a platform to learn, lead, create, and serve.

For some, that means gaining access to research, mentorship, health education, and resources they may not otherwise have. For others, it means using what they already have, their knowledge, time, skills, or opportunities, to open doors for someone else.

That exchange is at the heart of FutureVitals. Young people gaining the tools to take greater ownership of their own health and future, while using those same tools to strengthen the lives of others.

Student-led on purpose

Built by the generation that will inherit the problem.

FutureVitals is powered by 152+ volunteers, many of them students themselves, working alongside physicians, researchers, medical students, educators, and community organizations.

Young people teach workshops, mentor students, organize drives, develop research programs, lead chapters, create educational resources, and build projects that cross borders.

Gen Z built this on purpose. If we want change that lasts, young people shouldn't only be invited to watch it happen. They should have a hand in building it.
