About the competition
The International Medicine Olympiad is a global academic competition created by FutureVitals in partnership with MediQuills, giving middle and high school students the opportunity to challenge themselves across biochemistry, genetics, anatomy, physiology, and disease pathophysiology.
Students from 16+ countries worldwide competed through multiple testing sessions, completing a rigorous 40-question examination designed to test scientific understanding, application, and critical thinking.

A truly global Olympiad.
With 743 students competing from more than 16 countries, our Medicine Olympiad brought together hundreds of aspiring physicians, researchers, and scientists to put their biomedical knowledge to the test.
More than a competition, the Olympiad gives young people a platform to challenge themselves, prove what they know, and turn their interest in medicine into achievement.
Two divisions, one challenge.
Students compete within their respective age divisions to ensure a fair and engaging experience.
Middle school division
Age-appropriate questions introducing students to the foundations of medicine and human biology.
High school division
More advanced questions exploring anatomy, physiology, disease, biomedical science, and clinical reasoning.

What students want to know.
Who can participate?
Students entering Grades 6–12 after the summer are eligible to compete in their appropriate division.
Do I need previous Olympiad experience?
No. The Olympiad is designed for students with an interest in medicine and biology, whether they are new to competitions or experienced competitors.
How should I prepare?
Every participant receives study materials after registering. We also recommend reviewing the Official Olympiad Handbook before your selected testing session.
