Our workshops cost students nothing. Our competitions award certificates and cash prizes rather than charging for them. The Summer Research Academy costs $70 for five full days, with donations helping us keep that fee affordable.
That only works if the funding comes from somewhere else. This is that somewhere else.

We are a student-run organization with no paid staff, so giving funds programs rather than salaries.
A seat at the Summer Research Academy
Five days, 9 AM to 4 PM, idea to finished paper, closing with a live symposium. The 2026 Richmond cohort welcomed 60+ students, with tuition of $70 for the full week.
Materials for a hands-on session
Cabbage pH indicators, origami virus models, gel electrophoresis, trifold boards. The consumables are what make a session hands-on rather than a lecture.
Prizes and certificates
Our medicine olympiad and national biolympiad award cash prizes and certificates to participants, semifinalists, honorable mentions, and finalists.
A new chapter's first year
Eighteen chapters are defined across thirteen countries. A new one needs a playbook, materials, and something to run in its first term.
Not everything useful is money.
Donate books
Our 2026 book drive with Bon Secours collected new and gently used children's books for the Tanzanian Children's Fund.
