Clothing With a Purpose

One community. Thousands of pieces. Impact reaching from Virginia to Nigeria.

Volunteers behind boxes of sorted clothing under a FutureVitals banner

FutureVitals partnered with Vebron Carre and Mercy Mall to turn something as simple as clothing into a resource for dignity, comfort, and well-being.

Through an incredible response from our community, we collected 1,784+ pieces of clothing for children, adults, and families in need.

But collecting everything was only the first step.

Sorting sessions

1,784+ Items, Sorted With Care

Our team came together for dedicated sorting sessions to prepare every donation for where it could make the greatest impact.

Clothing was carefully organized by size, age group, children’s and adult clothing, seasonal and weather needs, and type of garment. Items were then separated based on the needs of the communities they will serve.

Next chapter

From Virginia to Nigeria

A major portion of the clothing collected is being packed into multiple large boxes for shipment to Nigeria alongside our beloved partner, Vebron Carre.

These donations can provide children and families with clothing that protects them from the elements, supports everyday comfort, and provides something just as important, dignity.

Access to basic necessities is deeply connected to health. Appropriate clothing helps protect physical well-being, while having clean, comfortable clothing can support confidence, belonging, and emotional well-being.

For a family facing limited resources, something sitting unused in one person’s closet can become an essential resource somewhere else.

And the Impact Continues at Home

Not every donation has to travel thousands of miles to change a life.

Remaining clothing from the drive will support Mercy Mall, helping provide essential resources to local families experiencing crisis.

For families navigating financial hardship or unexpected circumstances, access to clothing and other necessities can ease one immediate burden and allow limited resources to go toward food, housing, healthcare, transportation, and other critical needs.

This is what resource equity looks like to us. Meeting people where they are and making sure excess in one community can become something essential for another.

Why it matters

More Than a Clothing Drive

At FutureVitals, we believe health is shaped by far more than what happens inside a hospital.

Physical health, mental well-being, dignity, security, and access to basic resources are deeply connected.

That is why this drive matters.

With 1,784+ pieces collected, our community has created the potential to support families both locally and internationally, extending the life of resources we already have while putting them into the hands of people who can truly use them.

And this story isn’t finished yet.

Impact from Nigeria

A Note to the Families We Serve

Every piece in these boxes was donated with the hope that it could make someone’s day a little easier.

Whether these clothes travel across our own community or across an ocean, we hope they bring comfort, confidence, warmth, and the reminder that another community is thinking of you.

From Virginia to Nigeria and right here at home, we are proud to turn what we have into what someone else may need.
