Why it matters

Why Malaria Prevention Matters

Malaria remains an enormous public health challenge in Nigeria. In 2023, Nigeria accounted for an estimated 25.9% of malaria cases worldwide and 30.9% of global malaria deaths. Even more striking, Nigeria accounted for 39.3% of malaria deaths among children under five globally.

Malaria is preventable, which makes access to reliable health information and effective prevention measures especially important. WHO identifies young children and pregnant women among those disproportionately affected by the disease.

What we collect

900+ Resources and Counting

Our drive goes beyond simply collecting supplies. FutureVitals is bringing together disease-awareness pamphlets and mosquito-prevention resources, including bug spray and mosquito-repellent stickers, to help provide families with both information and practical tools.

The educational materials focus on malaria transmission, recognizing risk, mosquito-bite prevention, and when to seek medical care.
